The NOQers Great Places Awards

Personal Pages by Quilters

The following are pages by quilters, who donate time to make the web a cozy place to be. See some of the most wonderful quilts around!

... and the winners are...

Kodiak Bear Paw Quilters Guild This beautiful home of the Kodiak Bear Paw Quilters Guild offers news about the guild, virtual shows, and lots of free patterns. Enjoy your tour of quilting in Alaska!

Quilt Patterns This site contains over 2 dozen public domain patterns from the Kansas City Star in the 1920's and early 1930's. If you like reproduction quilts, this is a great place to start!

Quilting Today This is a very full site, that contains loads of information for quilters. You should be able to find answers here!

The Cotton Club This is a nice site for quilters to meet. A great view of Tink's Closet!

PatchQuilts Online A great site featuring loads of pictures, tips, recipies, and more! You'll enjoy this one.

PC Piecers "PC Piecers are a group of paper foundation piecing enthusiasts that all met on the internet and formed a group to swap patterns and blocks."

Piecemakers Quilt Guild. This is the site for the Piecemakers of Southern Alameda County. In addition to offering information on the guild and its activities, there is also a block of the month and a bulletin board.

San Diego Quilting Resources This site offers information on guild activity around the San Diego, CA area. This is a great site!

Anabeth's Quilts This is a quilt site. What more can I say? :) There are lots and lots of wonderful quilts here. From bedsized quilts to an amazing 4.5" scrappy log cabin attached to a 16" Sun Bonnet Sue quilt.

Palm Beach County Quilter's Guild This is a very nice site relating to this guild. Besides listing the guild's officers and events, there are also great quilt pictures. This site should be inspiration for other guilds across the country.

Popser's Playground This site is unusual. It's very light on quilt pictures. Instead, this is essays that every quilter, and every spouse or friend of a quilter, can relate to. It starts with the first bite of the quilt bug, and continues through the quilting addiction. Filled with humor and truth, you'll find yourself nodding and laughing.

The Dutch Quilters Association This is the 1998 General Exibition of the Dutch Quilters Association. This site discusses the Association, and there is a wonderful sample of the quilts. This site is not to be missed! The site is available in Dutch or English. :)

Dave Daniels Quilts This site loads very slowly, but the quilts... well, these are some of the best art quilts I've seen in a long time. Well worth the wait!

Jeanne's Quilting Too This site contains Block of the Month patterns, pictures of quilts, and lots of other quilting information.

Faebulous Faeb's "Sharing is Caring" Site This site is for sharing. Faebulous Faeb has lots of great quilts here, along with other neat stuff.

Quilts by Rita Denenberg This is a page full of quilts... and I do mean FULL! Lessons, pictures, projects; a huge site. I also love that the quilts are in thumbnail size; you can click the ones you want to see up close without having to wait for the others to load.

Piecing a Quilt of Life This site is "a multi-media project that celebrates the works and wisdom of creative women over the age of 50." This is a beautiful site, one that everyone, both over 50 and under 50, should visit.

Hazel's Quilt Patch This is a wonderful site dedicated to a grandmother's quilts throughout her life. There are many wonderful quilts here!

Deb's Quilt Page This page has some wonderful wallhangings for each month, as well as some full sized quilts.

Lisa's Texax Quilting Page This page has some great paper piecing patterns, and wonderful blocks, many with a western theme.

Math Quilts Not for the phobic, this page features some great math-based quilts (although it does explain that all quilts really do have some math involved).

Grace's Comfort Corner This is a fun page! Lots of quilts, sewing and general comfort here.

Missing FabricsThis is a great place to check when you are desperate for a bit of that certain fabric that you ran short on. Also be sure to check often to see if you have a leftover that someone else may need.

HHuman's Home Page This is a great quilt page, and also has some wonderful Teddy Bear links and info.

Quilt Lost and Found When I first saw this page, I was extremely impressed with the service Ann is giving to quilters and quilt lovers world wide. If you have lost or found a quilt, this is the place to look. Thank you, Ann! And be sure to check out her own quilt page, another Great Place.

Mothers Quiltworks This page is devoted to miniature quilts, and includes directions and templates for making these wonderful tiny expressions of fabric and life.

Carole's Page - Carole, known to the NOQers as Outtatime, has also been a member of the NOQers forever. Her page has lots of goodies to see, including quilts, crafts and blocks!

The Cozy Homepage...a personal quilter's homepage with quilt pictures, art philosophy, shabori fabric dying and humor. This is pretty cool, and another Great Place!
