Civil War Quilt 1 * Civil War Quilt 2
"I loved the quilts shown on your website, and have these two to offer, my Aunt finished them, they were made by her great grandmother in the Civil War era, in Bristol, CT. Thank you! Liz"

Marcia K. Feese's first sampler "I thought I'd share a photo of my first real quilt, a sampler quilt, which really got me addicted to this craft. This was a "learning project" and each of us in the Lucerne Valley Quilters (California) selected the particular blocks we wanted to use in our own sampler quilt, incorporating various techniques. Our instructor, Mona Barrett guided us through the construction and assembly of the blocks and we "birthed" my first quilt at her home."

Karen Kriebel's Baby Quilt "This is one of two baby quilts that I did for my sister-in-law (she had twins). The designs of the baby quilts were the same, only the colors were different -- one was in the purple family of colors, one was in the pink family of colors."

Mai's Banner I'd like to share this quilted church banner I worked on last month (I was given 3 weeks to do this). I feel it is very special because it has the profile of 62 children's faces, including my DS's. As he put it, "it is really us".

Bobbin's Bargello

Bobbin's Bargello This is Bobbin's Lame' Bargello.
The lightest places are gold lame.  When she started this quilt the employees at her favorite quilt store were rather dubious, but when she was done they were in awe.
Bobbin entered this quilt in a show, the comments from the judges were mixed.  They liked the quilt, but were a big confused about the lame.  Some liked it, some didn't.
 But we all do!
