To download the software, click the version you want. You will be prompted to either open or save it. Save the file, and select where to save it. It will download into that spot.
Once it's downloaded, you need to activate the self-extraction process. If you are running Win95, then you select RUN from the Start menu, and browse to find the file. It will take over from there.
If you are on a Windows 3.1 computer, go to your file manager and find the file. Double-click it to start the extraction process.
Once you have it extracted, you'll need to set it up. Answer the questions it asks you, and if you aren't sure, use the default. Next you're going to want to set up talkcity and the room. Set the server address to chat.talkcity.com at port 6667. The room is #NOQers. You will need to set up your password also. On the window that shows the various places you can chat, your nickname, etc, there is an Add button. Click that, enter TalkCity on the first line, chat.talkcity.com on the second line, and put in your password in the password spot. Click ok, and you should be set. If you haven't registered a nickname yet, you have to do this before it will let you log in, so follow the directions on the previous page.
