The Finish

Note: Instructions are not given for Twin or Double sized borders. This allows you to complete the borders you feel most comfortable with, such as mitered or lapped.

Border 1 - Fab D, 5 - 1 1/2" strips:

• Trim selvages from end of all strips
• From one strip cut 4 - 10" strips
• Sew one 10" section to each of the other 4 strips
• Sew a strip to one side of quilt, sew another to opposite side, orange lines.
• Sew remaining 2 strips to other opposite sides, blue lines.

 

Border 2 - Fab F, 6 - 3 1/2" strips:

• Trim selvage from ends of strips
• You will need from 2 strips:  2 @ 10" and 2 @ 15"
• Sew a 10" to 2 of the remaining strips, and a 15" to the other two.
• Sew the two shorter strips to each of the long borders - pink lines
• Sew the remaining two longer strips to remaining 2 sides - green lines
