This is what American Heritage says about Tradition. What do you say? Does tradition mean a completely "American traditional" quilt, created in calico, completely hand pieced and quilted? A family or cultural tradition portrayed in applique? Maybe a traditional quilt pattern done in very non- traditional fabrics. The only rules are to keep it in size and to use at least a small piece of the challenge fabric.
The show is open, and the quilts are wonderful! We have a very good representation of traditions and non-traditions. When you head off to the show, plan a few minutes. It takes a bit of time to load. The Traditions Show
Everyone who completed a quilt and entered it in the show will receive a prize and certificate. In addition, there are 2 contests going on: a viewers choice on the Home, and an off-line judging conducted by independent quilters not associated with the NOQers. So, be sure to vote!
So, what does "Tradition" mean to you???
